Alternative Farming Practices

Farming practices are always evolving, requiring new implements or modifications to existing ones.

One example is Organic No-Till farming, which:

  • Protects the soil biome
  • Adds a nitrogen fixing cover crop to protect the soil between crops.
  • Eliminates herbicide demand
  • Reduces or eliminates tillage

When it is time to plant, a roller/crimper mounted to the front of the tractor breaks the stems and kills the cover crops, creating a mulch layer to protect the crop and suppress weed growth.
